Devon Primary Care Trust (PCT) has teamed up with the Devon Partnership NHS Trust (DPT) to be among the first health authorities in the South West to sign a recycling pledge to segregate waste. It is hoped the bid will increase the amount of waste that is recycled, helping the NHS to reduce its carbon footprint.A PCT spokesman said: "Waste will no longer be collected together, which will improve quality and result in more being recycled with less waste being rejected and sent to landfill sites as a result.
