My experience of parking in East Devon is the odd trip to Axminster, where I m expected to pay 85p for an hour s parking. Over the border, in Bridport, an hour costs you only 40p. Of course, if you are prepared for a bit of walking, you can park for fre

My experience of parking in East Devon is the odd trip to Axminster, where I'm expected to pay 85p for an hour's parking.

Over the border, in Bridport, an hour costs you only 40p.

Of course, if you are prepared for a bit of walking, you can park for free at Tesco.

However, East Devon District Council, if you reduce parking fees, surely that will encourage drivers to stay longer in the towns with local businesses benefiting?
