HUNDREDS of residents at Dunkeswell have signed a petition in protest at the state of a road. They claim the main road from Honiton is in such a bad state of repair that it is dangerous.John Tatam, 67, who has lived in Dunkeswell for 10 years, started the petition."The road at Crook Hill is in a dreadful state," he said. "In fact, it's dangerous."I started the petition on a Saturday and, within six days, had collected 400 signatures."Mr Tatam said the petition would be sent to highways officials in the hope that hundreds of signatures will prompt action.Dunkeswell has expanded massively through residential and business developments since the road, little more than a country lane, was built, say residents. They want access to the village to be made easier and safer.WHAT do you think?
