Brave Christmas Day bathers take to the sea to raise money for charity

AROUND 150 hardy souls took to the sea at Charmouth for the village’s annual Christmas Day swim.

Even more lined the beach to cheer on the brave bathers - many of them in fancy dress.

Crew members of the Lyme Regis RNLI lifeboat - which benefits from money raised on the day - were on hand to make sure no one came to grief in the chilly water.

And, as always, the event was again organised by the licensees at the Royal Oak pub.
