A CONVICTED paedophile who went missing in March is being hunted by police.

Jason Waller has failed to comply with the terms of the sex offenders register and Devon and Cornwall police are appealing to the public to come forward if they have any knowledge of his whereabouts.

Waller was convicted of indecent assault back in January 2000 and sentenced to a total of three years in prison.

The 33-year-old left his Plymouth accommodation without notifying police of his intention to change address.

Police believe Waller could be sleeping rough or being housed by someone.

His details have been circulated to all police forces across the country and various websites, including Crimestoppers and the Child Exploitation.

Police checks show he has had no contact with family, sought medical treatment, or has a driving license or a passport. Tax office records show he has not worked.

A police spokesman said: "our extensive enquiries have failed to locate Waller and so we are appealing to the public for any information regarding his whereabouts."

Anyone with any information should call police immediately on 08452 777444 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111, quoting reference ED/09/2243.
