Honiton Town Council is putting on the bash at The Beehive to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.

Honiton Town Council is on the hunt for a resident who was born on the same day as the Queen, ahead of a street-style party.

The council is organising the free bash on Sunday, June 26, at The Beehive, from 3pm to 5pm.

The party is being held to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday.

It will have a 1920s theme to reflect the decade in which the Queen was born. There will be music, games and entertainment on the day, and attendees are asked to take a plate of food to share.

They are also welcome to dress in 1920s style attire, don a hat or just go as they are. The party ‘king’ or ‘queen’ will be someone who was born on April 21, 1926.

Anyone who was born on this day, or knows someone who was, is asked to get in touch with the town council by sending an email to or calling the offices on 01404 42957.

Honiton’s mayor, Cllr Caroline Kolek, said: “This is a good way of bringing local people together.

“We hope many people will attend. There is a good community spirit in the town and this should be an enjoyable and lively afternoon for everyone to enjoy.”
