THANK you, Sigi Dickenson, for the opportunity to acknowledge Gavin Menzies' book, 1421 The Year China Discovered The World, as I did in my interview with the Herald and will do again in any talk. The artle also quotes "recent evidence" of China's oceanic dominance during the Ming dynasty, which also built The Great Wall we see today. My purpose was to bring this and Menzies' claim that Chinese explorers were "the first, the bravest and the most daring" before a local audience.Ideally, he should be invited to speak but, failing this, perhaps your correspondent or any individual or group interested in China's discovery of the world, then and now, would kindly contact me to set up a meeting.Tony Simpson30 Ashleigh RoadHoniton
