FROZEN food chain Iceland received a rapturous welcome from shoppers when it returned to Honiton last week.

FROZEN food chain Iceland received a rapturous welcome from shoppers when it returned to Honiton last week.Three years after pulling out of Lace Walk, the store was back - this time in larger premises, formerly Woolworths.Free children's entertainment was laid on to welcome shoppers in Honiton back to Iceland.Staff manned a stall outside the shop, encouraging customers to sign up for a bonus card.Magic man Ozzy D kept children entertained during a mid-morning stampede last Thursday. Store manager Belinda Bodley said: "It's absolutely fantastic. "Hopefully, the store will be a really good 'plus' for Honiton."Iceland has created 35 jobs in Honiton, most of them part-time.Honiton JobCentre Plus opened on a Saturday to fill the vacancies.
