THE Iceland store in Honiton has hosted a packed week of fundraising events in aid of charity.

The events, to raise money for Help for Heroes, included a sponsored walk by sales assistant Michael Atkins, who walked from Seaton to Honiton dressed as a World War II soldier today (Friday).

He was given a glitzy welcome home by talented young members of Honiton Twirlstars, who performed in Lace Walk.

Iceland’s manager, Annette Purdue, said: “It’s gone really well.

“Mike completed his walk from Seaton to Honiton – he did extremely well.

“I would just like to thank the people of Honiton for making it an enjoyable event for the staff and donating things for our ‘name that price stand’.

She added: “Hopefully, we have raised enough money to make a difference.”

Other events held included a raffle, car boot sale and fancy dress.
