As grandparents with a granddaughter serving with the Yorkshire Regiment in Afghanistan, we were very impressed with your article on The Baton.
She is only 18 years old, based at Camp Bastion, so will benefit from the fund-raising effort.
As she serves in the camp's administration department, she is able to keep in touch with us and her mother and family regularly. She finds her tour of duty very challenging but, nevertheless, enjoyable.
We have a nephew recently returned from his tour of duty of six months. He was involved in many days of action. Katie has benefitted from his advice and accounts.
