Sales of season tickets for Sidmouth's 2009 FolkWeek through Sidmouth Information Centre have so far been "much lower than last year" Ian Cole, manager of the centre, told the town council's tourism committee on Monday.
He said a Christmas newsletter was only sent to those with emails rather than everyone on the festival database and the first printed information went out towards the end of February.
"I am told that 'on-line' bookings have been better than last year," he added.
