Coastguards call in helicopter because coast path accident site is too difficult for land rescue
A JOGGER had to be airlifted to hospital after injuring her ankle on the coast path, near Charmouth, on Saturday evening.
Lyme Regis coastguard team was called to help the 40-year-old runner, after her fall, but because of the inaccessibility of the location, the rescue helicopter had to be called in.
The woman was flown to Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester.
