Police and coastguards find missing Charmouth teenager in undergrowth near Lyme Regis after coast path fall.
A 13-year-old boy was airlifted to safety after injuring himself on the coast path, near Lyme Regis, late last night (Thursday)
Portland Coastguard received a call from Dorset Police at around 11pm requesting their assistance in the search for the missing teenager
The youngster had last been seen leaving the football ground at Lyme Regis at 6pm to walk home to Charmouth along the coast path.
Lyme Regis coastguard officers, police officers and the police helicopter located the casualty in undergrowth at Timber Hill, near The Spittles, Lyme Regis. He was suffering from minor cuts and bruises.
Due to the terrain the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 104, from Lee on Solent, was sent to extract the casualty to a waiting ambulance at the Lyme Regis Golf Club.
