International recognition for Woodroffe

WOODROFFE School was awarded with an international award at a British Council ceremony in London.

WOODROFFE School was awarded with an international award at a British Council ceremony in London. Dot Wood, who attended on behalf of the school, was presented with the award by BBC newsreader George Alagiah. Under the leadership of new assistant head teacher, Adam Shelly, the school has been raising its awareness of life in other countries. Activities ranged from collecting money for Water Aid in Gambia, learning about Darfur with a new website, and having a web conference with a Medicine Sans Frontier doctor from the region.
