Youths give woman bad shopping experience in Honiton.
A SHOPPER is calling for private security patrols in Lace Walk, Honiton, after she was allegedly intimidated by youths.
Wendy Moore, who is in her 40s, says she was “humiliated” outside Co-op on Saturday.
“There was a large group of teenagers hanging around outside of the shop, blocking the doorway and the cashpoint machine,” she told The Midweek Herald.
“I did ask them to move, but a boy refused. He then persisted to make fun of me and stood looking over my shoulder and then shouted after me as I walked into the shop.”
Miss Moore added: “There should be a security guard patrolling Lace Walk all of the time.
“This, I am sure, would stop such large groups of teenagers hanging around and making a nuisance of themselves.
“I hope that something will be done soon - before there is a bad incident and someone gets hurt.”
