TESCO is inviting residents to try a traditional Devon cream tea - with tea from Somerset.The supermarket is holding sampling days at stores across the county in a bid to show its continued support for local foods.Using locally produced scones, cream, jam and milk, Tesco wants to show locals and visitors the excellent products that are produced in the region.Tesco's South West regional marketing manager, Jo Wren, said: "The only thing which isn't from Devon is the tea - and that comes from across the border in Somerset!"Our customers love our local food ranges and we have recently topped £1 million a week in local food sales."The cream tea day will be held at Axminster on Tuesday, August 19 and Honiton, on Thursday, August 21.
