Last chance to bid for a seafront day hut or car parking space in Lyme Regis

TODAY (Friday November 8) is the deadline for bids for Cart Road day huts and a Lyme Regis parking space.

Lyme Regis Town Council is selling day huts 29 to 32 on the seafront.

Offers are based on the sale of one of the huts and the pro rata site licence fee until the end of February 2014.

Ownership of the site will remain with Lyme Regis Town Council and a site licence will be required annually.

The town council is also offering an annual rental for a licensed parking area capable of accommodating one vehicle.

The site (5m x 6m) is situated at the rear of Lym Close, near the western end of the playing field, just outside the barrier to the council’s External Works Depot.

Applications will be considered from Lyme Regis residents who have no current parking provision. Applicants must be able to prove they are full time residents of Lyme Regis.

The successful applicant will be required to obtain planning consent and carry out the necessary works to establish the parking area to a specification approved by the town council, and pay the council’s legal and admin costs.

Offers in a sealed envelope marked “Day Hut Sale” or “Parking Bay” must be received in the council offices by 5pm today (Friday November 8).
