Supporters turn out to show their support for nine-year-old Jamie Dyer from Honiton.
Supporters turned out in force to support Honiton swimmer Jamie Dyer.
Jamie, who suffers with cerebral palsy, took part in a sponsored swim last Tuesday to boost funds for a specialist hoist and changing bench to be installed at Honiton swimming pool.
Cheered on by friends and family the nine-year-old Honiton Primary School pupil swam 22 lengths of the pool.
On the day he was joined by his friend Shane White and his one-to-one helper Sam Farmer.
Even though the money has now been raised Jamie was keen to raise some money himself.
The appeal for the new equipment for Jamie was launched by the Midweek Herald last October and had an overwhelming response from the local community.
So far Jamie has raised more than £500 and has said a big thank you to everyone who has supported him.
He is now enjoying a well-earned rest.
