SOLICITORS Ford Simey has shed 12 support jobs at its offices in Exeter and East Devon, including Honiton, following a re-structure.

SOLICITORS Ford Simey has shed 12 support jobs at its offices in Exeter and East Devon, including Honiton, following a re-structure.The firm undertook a full review of support staff levels following a downturn in the housing market.Managing director David Williams said: "The changes will help us to achieve our three-year aim of being the best firm in Devon."As part of this process, in the last month alone, we have recruited two commercial lawyers with a new senior lawyer going into our expanding private client team."We remain fully committed to providing the very best legal service to the whole of Devon from each of our four offices whilst remaining competitive in a challenging marketplace."The re-structuring of the business has been an essential element in achieving our core objectives.
