AN Axminster photographer is displaying her work at the Arts Cafe until August 1.
Julia Mear specialises in monochrome printing and has a special interest in portraiture. She has documented local people and places.
She said: "My aim is to produce powerful portraits of both young and old - there is a story in everyone and the challenge of portraying the individual is what I enjoy most about portraiture.
"Photographing children as they grow up is particularly important - it is always my intention to capture that special moment."
Julia has been exhibiting her work since 1996 and in 2009 completed a degree level vocational course in applied and professional photography.
