An amazing 284 children have started the Summer Reading Challenge at Axminster Library.

Now organisers are keen to encourage them to complete the task. Children finish the challenge – which celebrates the work of Roald Dahl - by reading six library books. They receive a medal and certificate and have their picture taken inside a special photo frame. Library supervisor Sarah Jones said. “We are delighted so many have started the Big Friendly Read.”
