An elderly man was airlifted to hospital after a car crash at Kilmington

AN elderly man was airlifted to hospital after a crash near the Old Inn at Kilmington this afternoon (Tuesday November 2).

Police at the scene told The Herald he was not thought to have suffered life threatening injuries.

No one else was believed hurt in the two vehicle collision.

The road was closed for some time, with long tailbacks on the Axminster bypass.
