STAFF at a Honiton veterinary clinic found four kittens had been dumped on their doorstep yesterday (Tuesday).

The tabby kittens were found in a cardboard box outside premises occupied by Lee and Brain, in New Street.

Lizzie Manley, co-ordinator of Honiton Cats Protection, says there is no need for kittens to be dumped in this way.

"Just ring Cats Protection and we can help," she told the Herald.

"Cats Protection is here to help and, if we cannot take cats or kittens immediately, we will tell you where to go and, if possible, help all we can.
