Ladies’ club raises £600.

Members of Raymonds Hill Ladies Club have got the year off to a flying start after raising more than £600 for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

The club raised the money after hosting a number of fund-raising activities last year, including a cream tea event, a Christmas fair, raffle and party, as well as a produce stall at the club’s monthly meetings.

Members Cynthia Bradford, Alison Tirrell, Lynda Dix, Stephanie Horlock, Jean Britton and Christine Edwards presented a cheque to Richard Lappas from the air ambulance trust.

New members are welcome to the club’s next meeting on March 7, in Woodbury Hall, at 2.15pm, with guest speaker David Wheeler, who will be talking about Abbotsbury Swannery.
