But the turnout at polling stations in Honiton yesterday was low.
SEVENTY-two per cent of those who voted in yesterday’s town poll in Honiton said ‘no’ to town council plans to procede with a �1.75 million community centre project.
More than 900 people voted - 662 against and 257 for. Two ballot papers were spoiled.
The turnout represented just 10.35 per cent of those on the electoral roll.
