The former county councillor for Honiton St Paul's, Roger Boote, came fourth in yesterday's election for the ward, polling 568 votes.He had stood as an independent after being deselected by the Conservatives.Paul Diviani (Conservative, took the seat with a majority of 887 votes, polling 1,740 votes.Lib Dem Roy Coombs polled 853 votes and UKIP candidate Liz Denton attracted 691 votes.Labour trailed home last with candidate Michael Teare receiving 189 votes.The turnout was 44.7 per cent. Number of spoilt ballot papers: 21.
