POLICE are reminding drivers that normal traffic laws apply when using the Roman road through Shute Woods.

POLICE are reminding drivers that normal traffic laws apply when using the Roman road through Shute Woods.Neighbourhood Beat Manager PC Mark Carnall said there had been reports of motorcycles, in particular, using the area - and warned all vehicles would need to be taxed, insured and hold a current MOT.He said: "Anybody found contravening these laws is liable to prosecution which could result in a fine, points on their licence, or both." He added that people driving on land - other than a road - in a manner likely to cause alarm, distress or annoyance - could have their vehicle seized.
