A TASTER day for people interested in taking up golf is to be held at Honiton Golf Club on Sunday. More than 30 people have expressed an interest in attending the event, meaning the day is over-subscribed.

A TASTER day for people interested in taking up golf is to be held at Honiton Golf Club on Sunday.More than 30 people have expressed an interest in attending the event, meaning the day is over-subscribed.No more bookings are being taken, a spokesperson for the golf club told the Herald, but a further event will be held on Wednesday, June 4.Participants will be offered a tour of the club's facilities, free lessons and a free drink and, at the end of it all, a free barbecue!The taster days are being supported by the English Golf Union.Contact Adrian Cave, PGA golf professional at the club, on (01404) 42943 for further information.
