DARE the Herald use the word 'naff'?According to an English dictionary, the word is not a swear word. Following the Herald's decision to use the word in the headline of a recent front-page story, instead of a really rude word, an un-amused reader from Ottery St Mary telephoned the editor to complain.The woman said she objected to the word 'naff' coming through her letterbox and felt use of the word encouraged the lowering of local standards.The woman claimed she is one of those people "trying to raise standards".What do you think?Is naff a rude word or are some people overly sensitive?Tell your Herald by writing to the address on page 2, comment via our website or email us.
