Lidl: Bugbear is loss of BP garage

HONITON pensioner Sheila McBrearty said: I fully support Lidl coming to Honiton, because we need a bit of competition. The only bugbear is the closure of the BP petrol station.

It's what the town needs."Another pensioner, Gladys Lewis, said: "I love it. I do shop at Lidl - I go to the Sidmouth store. We need a Lidl; I've always wanted one in Honiton."Tony Smith, of Ashleigh Road, said: "I still support Aldi. This one (Lidl) is okay, but first I'd sooner have Aldi."Mr Smith said he would like to see drawings of road improvement plans being put forward by Lidl, Aldi and Tesco before making a final decision.
