Lidl: Goodie bags at the ready

FREE nibbles from Lidl had the Mackarness Hall bursting at the seams last Thursday, when the German supermarket chain officially unveiled its plans for a store in Honiton.

FREE nibbles from Lidl had the Mackarness Hall bursting at the seams last Thursday, when the German supermarket chain officially unveiled its plans for a store in Honiton.Goodie bags were at the ready as hundreds, if not thousands, of local residents took the opportunity to find out more about Lidl's development plan for Heathpark Service Station.Lidl's Christmas product range was on display, with free samples being offered buffet-style.Paper plates were piled high with everything from chocolates, biscuits, Turkish delight and marzipan. Before exiting the hall, visitors were each given a Lidl goodie bag, containing a packet of chocolate chip biscuits, a jar of jam and a carton of juice.
