Lidl inundated with support in Mackarness Hall

THE Mackarness Hall, in Honiton, is bursting at the seams as Lidl courts public support for a new food store in the town. Free nibbles are being offered all day today (Thursday) on a buffet-style basis and every visitor is being handed a Lidl goodie bag.

Free nibbles are being offered all day today (Thursday) on a buffet-style basis and every visitor is being handed a Lidl goodie bag.

The bags contain a pot of jam, chocolate chip cookies and a carton of juice.

Lidl spokesman James Mitchell, who is manning an exhibition of Lidl's plans for Heathpark Service Station, said: "I'm delighted with the turnout.

"In terms of the comments received so far, they are universally supportive."

Doors close at 5pm.
