GERMAN discount food chain Lidl is quietly confident it has ticked all the boxes in its bid for a new store in Honiton. As your Herald went to press last night (Tuesday) Lidl was updating members of Honiton Town Council on the progress of its planning application to develop a supermarket at Heathpark Service Station.James Mitchell, of Lidl, told the Herald: "We are at the end of the application process and our proposal will go to East Devon District Council's development control committee on March 10."The plans have gone through a process of steady evolution and planning officers are now satisfied with all components. We think we have ticked all the boxes."Mr Mitchell said the presentation to councillors was organised mainly to address design issues raised at a previous meeting."That's been the key area of change," he said."We've come up with something more suitable.
