THE retired population of East Devon can look forward to many golden years ahead, as figures reveal life expectancy across the nation.The South West region - with coastal resorts such as Seaton and Lyme Regis popular destinations for the over 60s seeking to unwind after retiring from work - boasts a life expectancy of 85 years for women, and 82 for men.The NHS says better than average mental and physical health in the region has contributed, along with a higher proportion of pensioners exercising regularly.
