Lifeboat called out after yacht seen on collision course with rocks

Emergency calls were made on Sunday (May 14).

Lyme Regis’ lifeboat was dispatched after emergency calls were made on Sunday.

A 20ft yacht with two people aboard was reported to be drifting towards the rocks near the mouth of the River Axe.

When crews arrives, they found the vessel and the people on board were not in difficulty.

The lifeboat was launched at 6.57pm and returned to harbour at 7.35pm.
