Tent on beach east of Charmouth thought to be in danger from rising tide
Lyme Regis RNLI lifeboat was launched at 5.33pm today (Sunday) after a report that a man in a tent on the beach east of Charmouth was in danger from the rising tide.
The lifeboat crew, with the help of coastguards ashore, established that the man was safe and returned to Lyme Regis harbour at 6.01pm.
This was the 14th emergency call to the Lyme Regis volunteer crew so far this year.
