Paddleboarder got into difficulties off Charmouth but managed to make it the shore by the time help arrived
Emergency services were scrambled after a paddleboarder got into difficulties off Charmouth yesterday afternoon (Tuesday).
They were alerted by the beach superintendent who saw the man clinging to a pot marker buoy.
Lyme Regis RNLI lifeboat was launched and arrived to find the 20-year-old man had made his own way ashore and was unhurt. A member of the lifeboat’s volunteer crew went ashore to check the man’s condition.
