Kite fishermen spark emergency callout
Lyme Regis lifeboat put to sea today (Sunday) after a report of two paragliders possibly in difficulty off the West Dorset coast
But at 3.20pm coastguards confirmed the sighting was not of paragliders but anglers using a technique known as kite fishing involving a single kite with a hooked and baited line and weight.
The lifeboat arrived at the scene of the original sighting at 3.21pm and was stood down.
