Lyme crew stood down after man makes his way safely ashore

Lyme Regis RNLI lifeboat was launched yesterday (Sunday, December 6) after an onlooker ashore reported a surfer in difficulties east of the Cobb harbour’s north wall.

Soon after launching at 2.33pm the lifeboat crew were told the surfer had made his own way safely ashore and was met by a coastguard team.
