But RNLI crew is soon recalled to base after person makes it safely to shore
Lyme Regis Lifeboat was launched on Friday (January 8) after reports that a surfer was in difficulties off Seaton Beach.
But the crew was quickly called back to base after onlookers reported the person had safely made it back to shore.
The lifeboat was launched by 1.37pm and the stand down came at just two minutes later.
