Lyme RNLI crew find tender against harbour wall but with no one aboard.

Lyme Regis RNLI lifeboat was launched yesterday morning (Sunday) after an onlooker ashore saw what was thought to be two people in a small boat trapped against the harbour wall in rough sea conditions.

The lifeboat crew found a small fishing boat’s tender moored just outside the harbour, but with no-one aboard. After a few minutes the incident was logged as a false alarm with good intent and Solent coastguards stood down the lifeboat crew.
