An invasion of Easter eggs is hitting Honiton as the town’s Lions rally to raise money for parent, teacher and friends’ associations of different schools in the area.
In all, 25 jumbo-sized eggs can be won in Honiton, after they were put up to be raffled by schools and businesses.
Weighing 1kg each, the chocolate eggs are dotted around several shops and buildings in Honiton, accompanied with a £1 per square raffle sheet.
Bob Francis, of Honiton Lions, said: “With the Lions funding the Easter eggs, this gives small groups the opportunity to raise money for specific needs.
“Last year, nearly £2,000 was raised this way.”
