A ‘friendly’ local cricket club is looking for Cranbrook players to join its ranks.

Bradninch Cricket Club, 15 minutes down the road from Cranbrook, is inviting residents to join for the 2015 season.

The club, which has two teams playing Devon league standard cricket, also operates a second eleven in senior cricket.

It has an additional Sunday XI with a full fixture card for next summer of Sunday cricket.

Paul Nott, who has been with the club for 39 years, said: “There is mid-week cricket available too and on top of that we have a thriving junior section which provides cricket from the age of primary school children upwards.

“What’s more, we have regular socials, stage quiz nights and actively encourage families to become involved with us.”

Before next season, the club will be holding an open weekend which will happen in March.

Paul added: “We’d love to hear from you so that we can contact you again nearer next season to say ‘come on across and join us’”.
