SEATON lollipop lady Rita Hallett was among 17 others to receive an award from Devon County Council at the annual Long Service Award Ceremony.Rita, based at Seaton Primary School, was presented with the Gold Award at the Larkbeare House, in Exeter, for 15 years of service.Christine Miller, of Axminster Community and St Mary's Catholic Primary Schools, was rewarded with bronze for five years of service.Together, the school crossing patrollers have clocked up 120 years.DCC Chairman Jon Rawlinson said: "Our school crossing patrols perform a vital job in helping schoolchildren across Devon get to and from school safely, whatever the weather."The county council long service award ceremony has been held annually since 1990. Since then, more than 300 patrols have received the distinguished honours.
