Look at seafront before windows

I could not believe the headline in the paper dated May 27 about the windows of the Green Dragon Antiques shop having to be replaced.

I could not believe the headline in the paper dated May 27 about the windows of the Green Dragon Antiques shop having to be replaced. The district council states the shop is in a Conservation Area. Have councillors walked down the seafront lately? Over the recent Bank holiday weekend, surely a busy time of year, there were disgusting portable toilets, leaking some kind of fluid, in between the benches, and some of the beach huts looked shabby and in need of a coat of paint. When they were first painted it was a joy to walk down to the Chine Cafe, but now I don't feel I want to go there.Let the owner of the antique shop keep her nice windows and concentrate on improving the look of the sea front.Judith KempsonLatches WalkAxminster
