Fire crews from Honiton attend the incident.

A lorry was badly damaged following a fire near Honiton.

Firefighters from the town found the vehicle well alight on arrival at the scene on A303 and A30 split at 7.04pm yesterday (Wednesday).

The fire was extinguished using compressed air foam, one hose reel jet and two dry powder extinguishers.

A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, said: “The cab of the lorry was totally destroyed and the trailer suffered minor damage. The cause of the fire was accidental and police also attended the incident.”
