Lorry driver fined after tram incident

A LORRY driver involved in a collision with a Seaton Tram has had his driving license endorsed and been fined.

A LORRY driver involved in a collision with a Seaton Tram has had his driving license endorsed and been fined.Andrea Lamberti, 38, from Bristol, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention and failing to comply with a red traffic light at the A3052 in Colyford.There were no passengers on the tram during the incident on August 18 last year and only minor damage was caused to both vehicles.Mr Lamberti was also ordered to pay a £200 fine and £75 court costs at Cullompton Magistrates' Court. PC Steve Speariett said: "The police will prosecute whenever possible any motorist who contravenes the signs of lights at the crossing.
