The loss of 42 parking spaces alone is detrimental. What about persons who wish to use the centre, where are the extra parking facilities to be located?
Why wasn't the meeting we attended at Honiton Town Council a public meeting? About 40 residents attended and were not allowed to enter into any discussions.
Why not consider moving Halse's commercial property to Heathpark industrial estate? This is only a maintenance store and workshop for the agricultural industry. This would also improve the traffic flow when large trailers and other vehicles are entering and leaving that premises.
One private house would have to be demolished and the whole area redeveloped including the community centre and allow the widening of Mill Street.
