Popular Lyme-based artist Christine Allison will launch her new instruction book next month.

She will be signing copies of ‘Drawing’ at Fine Art and Framing, in Broad Street, on Saturday, December 2, from 11am to 3pm.

Best known for her dramatic large-scale drawings and paintings of birds of prey Christine is also remembered as an art teacher at local schools.

Now she brings her wealth of experiences together by writing and illustrating a beginner’s guide to drawing that was commissioned by the Guild of Master Craftsmen.

Drawing: Techniques and Tutorials for the Complete Beginner is an ideal introductory book for anyone who has always wanted to draw but has not known where or how to start.

In 10 step-by-step tutorials, Christine helps them navigate a range of subject matter and drawing media, providing a thorough grounding in the basics of this satisfying and mindful art.
