Man forced to turn back by rising tide after early morning walk
COASTGUARDS were scrambled yesterday (Sunday) after reports that a man was cut off by the tide on the beach near Black Venn.
Responding to a 999 call from a concerned member of the public, officers attending the scene, at around 8.28am, confirmed that although the walker had been slightly stuck he was now fine, just slightly wet and was clear to make his way back to Charmouth.
